WAEC Considering Postponement Of WASSCE - FG

- FG claims WAEC is considering shifting 2020 WASSCE.

- Recall the FG schools will not be participating in the examination.

- Meanwhile, schools have been asked to prepare their facilities for resumption.

As coronavirus continues to ravage every facet of the world's economy and activities, Nigeria's Federal government has declared that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) is considering shifting the date of its exam.

This was disclosed in a statement by the director of information, Federal ministry of education, Ben Goong.

He quoted Emeka Nwajiuba, minister of state for education, as saying this as a result of a meeting held recently, The Cable reports.

Going further, he added that schools have been given till July 29 to ensure that their facilities are ready for resumption.

He said this must be in line with the guidelines issued by the ministry of education for safe reopening of places of learning.
